What does this do to or environment?

Despite giving your hair the perfect silky texture, shampoos and conditioners contain harmful chemicals which impact the environment adversely. Such chemicals include Parabens, Sodium Chloride, sodium laureth sulfate and sodium laurel sulfate. The water can neither be reused nor recycled causing a total waste. Moreover sometimes the petrochemicals used to make shampoos and conditioners also cause soil and water pollution. The raw ingredients for conditioner account for nearly a quarter of its environmental impact. The sheer amount of Carbon output into water is huge in Conditioners (nearly 500kg of carbon dioxide equivalents is released every time you rinse your hair with shampoo and conditioner).
